Is Office installed correctly? Can you open & use Outlook? Are you using the
same version of Office/Excel as of Outlook?

Did anyone come to a solution on this? I am having the same issue on one of my Citrix Servers. What is strange is that my other Citrix Server does not have this, but I thought they were set up the same way.

Found the solution...

I figured out how to solve the problem with regard to not being able to send out excel sheets in the body of an email:

This problem was occurring on one of my Citrix Servers, but only for certain users. So I tried copying the mail settings from the users that were not experiencing the problem to the users that were and I found what fixed it.

To fix:
  1. Go to Outlook and click on Tools, Options

  1. [*]Click on the Mail Format Tab
    [*]
    Make sure you set it to Send in HTML format
    [*]Check the box for "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages".

    [*]I'm not sure if both need to be set or just one, so you can play w/that to see what works, but setting them both like that definitely works.

Excel could not start the email program in MS Excel 2003

Excel could not start the email program in MS Excel 2003. The user is running MS Office 2003 Pro SP3. The send as attachment function works fine, but send work sheet in the body does not work. Tried MS KB834008 did not help and mail format is already set to use MS Word. Any other suggestions?
