I have lost the info from the original MDW file but have several copies of it
saved on backups. I am attempting to create a remote site administrator to
add users accounts but not alter permissions on database objects with
reference to MS Access Security FAQ # 33. However; without the PID for the
original MDW file that was used to secure the database I cannot create the
new SysAdmin.mdw from scratch. I thought using a copy of the original would
work and have removed all users from it other than Admin. I then created a
user SysAdministrator and added it to the Admins group. No difficulty
opening the database with the new SysAdministrator account; however, the
account is able to change permissions on objects in the secure database.
Anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong or an alternative way to get to
accomplish this?
