Your question as phrased is confusing. You can't delete a port, since that's
a hardware item. If the port is on an add-in card, removing the crad should
remove the port - that is, W2K will not find it. Is that what you've done?
In that case, you may have just discovered another aspect of W2K's refusal to
change its mind about hardware -- a "feature" which also makes moving an
existing W2K system to a new machine a PITA. It may be possible to "delete"
the port by editing the registry. Have you tried that?
You can delete printers, that is, you can uninstall them. Is that what you
are trying to do? If so, W2K's refusal to uninstall is a mystery to me, too.
