Right click on the Start Orb, and select Explore all Users. Then past your
shortcut in the Startup folder. (You will get a UAC prompt, but going this way
should allow you the necessary permissions to add items to your Start Menu.)
I followed your instruction. Changed permissions for sharing. However
after all of that the system responded with An error occurred while
trying to share Start Menu. Access denied. The shared resource was
not created at this time.
I assume once you add the shortcut if you open msconfig you should see
the program you want in the startup group appearing there?
There is no need to change permissions. When you right click on the Start Orb,
and select Open A L L Users, the changes will be made for ALL users. After
a restart, your program should be shown in msconfig's Startup tab for all users
logged onto the system.
