This is a simple answer, you simply mistyped the phrase, that is not
Microsoft doing.

You do not have to "put up with them" what you use is your choice.

I for one think that the newsgroups keep MS os usable.
I chose 95 and 98 and ME and XP Home ed. and now
XP Pro and I continue to complain about the intrusive
features and other facets of MS operating systems.
If and when MS new os shows up I will buy it, use it and
probably critisize some of its features. Why do you imply
that haven chosen an MS os one needs to shut up?

oobe\msoobe /a
Very confusing, especially to those used to Unix or Linux; but path
elements in Windows are separated by \; 'switches' are introduced by /
