house, I own both computers! this really stinks big time! any ideas out
there, dont think i should have to buy another os just for my own use!
sheezzzzzzzzz,,,,,,,,,, people are up tight about this,, its no wonder people
go postal!

You can buy another copy, or try to steal one.
I am not arguing the merits with you.
It will be easier in the long run just to buy it.

Ever thought about trying a free operating system like Linux?

I suppose you would also want to use one license plate for two cars?

As to the cute remark about using one licence plate on two cars... We suckers
who bought XP for our own (not Microsft's) money, hope here for friendly
help, so whoever authored this cute remark keep your breath if you have no
advice to offer.

Besides a counter question: do you pay your TV network provider for each TV
set on which you run their broadcasting?
Or to stay with automotive: do you need a separate driving licence for each
car make / model of same make you drive?

Sorry, Ron I wouldn't have any advice to offer, except perhaps setting up a
network of your two home computers - though with MS India policies it is
quite possible you'd be still liable if they catch you - just check the small
print in the documentation you got with the XP copy they sold you.

Kind regards
Milena (still in Poland)

PS to the Cutie: a little kindness wouldn't harm either since MS has a cheek
to sell something it developed for corporate networks to private users (XP is
an upgrade of NT technology, see the system files)... Hence these xyz
problems of small suckers like me, who are not apes (to push buttons - look
windoze post), and yet aren't administrators, so don't understand what their
computers demand of them.
However selling a coporate software in packaging tarted up for consumer
market means the production cost were halved, or possibly slieced to one
third, while the price tag remained one for upper shelves; at least in such
backward countries like Poland. Asking suckers paying full price if they
agree to half price of copies for teachers, students, adminstration offices
etc, would be btw. at least polite - it is OUR money that pays MS generosity.

No, but I do pay my cable TV provider based on the number of TVs I
have connected.

Can you drive more than one car at the same time? When you get out of
one car and into a different one you are in effect uninstalling your
driving license from the first car and then installing it into the
second.

If you don't like the product then "ote with your wallet" and purchase
an alternative product, such as one of the many Linux variants that
are widely available.

Nothing gets the attention of a marketing based company faster than
lost sales.
