RDP doesn't resolve machine names anymore...

I rebuilt my two machines that are networked together and for some reason,
when I try to use RDP to log into one machine from the other using the
machine's name it doesn't work. Works fine using the IP address. Both
machines are XP Pro. Firewalls have 3389 rules. I must have disabled
something or forgotten to enable something. Help!

It's not a big deal, but it's bugging me. :)

Make sure you have "NetBIOS enabled over TCP/IP" in your LAN NIC
properties...

I also use a common "hosts" file on my desktops and laptop. You can see an
example here...

I think it might be some of the settings from a program called SafeXP that
I recently tried. Oops, how did I overlook that?

Good idea, I'll add my other machines in a similar manner.
