I have a laptop which I would like to use to connect to
my main machine at home while on the road. On my
wireless network at home I have no problem. The machine
at home connects to the internet using a cable modem. In
order to connect to the home machine from the outside,
what do I type in for the "computer" under local
settings. I am confused as there is an IP address form
the computer and cable modem. Thanks, Bryan

If the home machine is behind a firewall/NAT/router then
you need to forward/open TCP Port 3389 to the private LAN
IP of the target PC. Call using the public IP of the
firewall/NAT/router device, ie. the IP assigned by your
ISP.
