hi all

pls reply your post to my email as i do not know how to come back here again to search for my topic. hee..

have managed to configured my remote desktop to work but if i were to connect back to my home from another pc by typing in the ip address in IE as in \\ipaddr it should appear but if both computers were to have firewalls then the file sharing will not be shown

is there any ports to open on both firewalls so that i can connect and view the share folders

thanks.

hmm, found my way to find my topic.

i know how to open the ports.
just that my problem now is the shared folders are not shown if i connect to the other pc by \\ipaddr
but that happens only if both pc are firewalled. if i were to disable either one of the pc i will be able to see the shared folders.

any ideas?
