Could you help me with this problem? I recently upgraded to Windows XP
Professional SP1 from regular Windows XP Pro.

I'm glad you put in SP1 finally. Don't be so slow with SP2--it won't be
soon, and it might be controversial, but do it.

Where are you sitting when you type in your no-ip name?

What happens if you telnet paulanunda.no-ip.com 3389 ?
If that works, what about running Remote Desktop Connection executable
client and putting in paulanunda.no-ip.com as the addres?

You are adding some layers of complexity in trying to get Web connection to
work before troubleshooting the basic stuff.

You need to have installed IIS, including the Remote Desktop Web connection
part. You should darn well have tested your installation with Microsoft's
Baseline Security Analyzer tool which will minimally have you delete a bunch
of stuff, improve logging settings, and run the lockdown tool.

You need to open the router on port 80, so that the web stuff can get
through. You need to ascertain whether your ISP blocks port 80--some
do--Verizon, for example.

And, at the other end, you need to be sure port 80 AND port 3389 are not
blocked outbound, or proxyed.

From first post, under File Prop.

pool-68-236-52-187.phil.east.verizon.net 68.236.52.187 (your IP at forst
post)

Verizon blocks this type of thing, you can get around it by changing to port
81 but, if HTTPProxy is enabled, all bets are off. You might consider Cable
as your primary mode of connectivity or paying $99 a month to get your
network opened up.

Ya might want to just try remote connections via WinXP Remote Desktop
Connection tools under Assesor/ Communication. If it for XP...
