I have built an intranet site with the tsweb package
installed. I have one user that the connect button is
disabled. I checked the activeX controls and imaged them
to a pc that is working fine but the user still cannot
hit connect. I also tried the obvious of entering an IP
to see if connect would become active but no-go. Please
help...

If connect isn't becoming active, something is interfering with activex on
that machine. Could be local--settings in IE, or domain-mandated policy
settings.
It's been a while since I thought about this so don't take the above to be
encyclopedic.

Hi Bill
Thanks for the reply. I believe it may be our corporate
image interfering with ActiveX. The thin gis that there
was another pc that was having the same issue but I was
able to change the IE settings and allow all activex to
be accepted on the local intranet zone. I changed the
settings on this pc to match but it still will not work.
I also thought it maybe that the user was given power
user rights on the pc and made his profile part of the
administrators group but still no luck. Thanks for your
help, hope to hear from you soon....

In addition to the obvious settings in IE, there might be policy settings
involved. Policy settings are darn near a total blank to me--I wish I had a
basic understanding of just where to dig to spot this, but I can't point you
to it, I'm afraid.
