I recently purchased the RCA Lyra 1021. The instructions
tell me if I am using Windows 2000 that the OS will detect
and install the driver for the device. The driver
is "Thompson RD1021_71 player USB device". When I connect
the player to the USB cable, Windows detects new hardware
and adds 2 disk drives to my computer. One is for the
external memory capability of the player and the other is
for the 64MB of internal memory in the player. So it acts
like an external memory disk. I should just be able to
drag and drop into the new drive but I get an error that
says, "cannot find specified file. make sure you specify
correct path and filename." I tried RCA tech support but
they said the unit is working fine and that it is a OS
problem. Can anyone help me figure this one out? I have
tried disabling the external memory disk. I have deleted
the drivers and reloaded. All to no avail.
Please help!
