RC2 went mostly to Russians!!!!

Almost every Russian uses RC2. How come?
I wonder whether Microsoft keeps the demographics of downloads.
Any thoughts ?

5744 RC2 is available on every known torrent website..

When MS releases a Build that only few days is available, the torrent guys
doing the rest.
That's the way it goes, if MS likes or not. It is their strange policy that
makes people do so.

It has nothing to do with piracy, but with technical interest.All those
builds do expire sooner or later, so it has no effort to crack them, it
makes no sense.

The fact that this is as it is : if MS decides to take down the better Build
and still serves a now old RC1 - than you must not wonder . Who wants Build
5600 when he can unlock with the same key Build 5744 or as it is now with
Build 5808 that already has leaked onto the torrent-pages.

And also it does not matter where one has downloaded the disc, as long as
you have a key, the discs are always the same, no matter from where.

Just my opinion.

Paul Donnelly (Microsoft) said that the product keys changed after RC2.
Therefore you can't run 5808 without a new key. However, I haven't tried and
they might be waiting a little longer to do so.

I have a copy of it, I tried it and didn't like it!!! Gone back to my xp!
I'm not Russian as well. I"m Canadian!
 
5744 is still available for download on MS Servers for those of us who are
suppose to have it.

Not True, You can still get RC2 if you are either an MSDN Subscriber, or a
Microsoft Tech Net Plus Subscriber, Just FYI.

As a Russian, I wonder, what's your source?

You see, in Russia, broadband Internet (expecially flat-rate broadband)
coverage is so poor that I doubt any significant percentage of Russians
who have a computer (which is IMHO by itself not significant persentage
of overall population) have downloaded any Vista ISOs.
