Fresh installation of RC2, loaded the missing 3com and Soundmax drivers,
loaded AVG 7.5 version antivirus program and ran Vista as an Administrator.

I noticed there were some hidden folders which I couldn't access. ie
Documents and Settings as I recall. Opening properties on this folder and
selecting the Security tag I added myself as admin for fully permissions to
open this folder with full rights which I was able to do. I then tried to
close the application which refused to close saying that I still did not
have sufficient rights to access the folder. Fine, but I couldn't delete
myself in the permissions box as there is no delete button.

To get out of the application I had to close the application by the task
manager.

Hello,

Many folders used by earlier versions of Windows have been moved to a new
location or given a new name in Windows Vista. However, the old folders can
still be seen if you have enabled Show Hidden Files.

Notice they are displayed with a transparent icon and a shortcut symbol.

Although these look like folders, they are actually what is known as a
junction. Junctions behave like shortcuts, but look just like regular
folders.

Their purpose is to silently redirect programs that access them to their
Windows Vista equivalent.

Since junctions aren't really folders, it is not possible to access them,
and any attempt to do so will give you an "Access Denied" error. You will
need to learn the replacement for the location you are trying to access.

For example, Documents and Settings is now the Users folder.

You can see where a junction is pointing to by typing "dir /a" from the
command prompt - the location of the junctions will be shown in brackets.

Jimmy,
See;
That was a quick, concise answer.
You da Man.

Jeff
P.S. Avast doesn't look at those junctions anymore; but the "hall of
Mirrors" is still in this build.
