RC2 hangs on install , Blue Screens every shutdown, 10 minute rebo

RC2 x64 does not work on my machines. RC1 x64 works great.

I double-checked the ISO MD5, burned 3 different DVDs at low speed,
installed 6 times on 2 separate machines - RC2 is not gonna work for me.

The install hangs, black screen with a blinking cursor after about 20
minutes of normal-looking activity.

So I hard reboot and the install completes.

But every boot greets me with the cheerful message that it blue-screened on
the previous shut down/reboot.

I assume the blue screen happens during the 10-15 minutes it takes to shut
down the machine (when the screen is actually black, not blue, it's already
cut the signal to the display.

Disapointing.

Arghh, I thought maybe 32-bit would be OK. I just tried it, too, same
results, 2 different machines, 2 different burns of the DVD (the MD5 says the
download is correct.

These are all clean installs.

I am guessing, but maybe:
Build 5744 does not work if installed to the 2nd or 3rd partition (my first
partition is only 3GB, it cannot be used for the operating system)?
Build 5744 does not work with my Nvidia graphic cards (FX5200, 7300 GS)?

RC1, build 5728 64-bit is working well, I guess I have to work with that for
now.
