RC1 Installation Problem

I've download RC1 and using a clean installation in a new partition.
Everything seemed to be all right and it could finish the last step
'completing installation'. But after reboot, my PC cannot be boot up and was
idled on a black screen. HD has no activity. I've tried several times. Can
anyone tell me what's the problem?

If you using dvi-i connector, switch to vga cable and try again.
 
Thanks for your advice. That's true that I've used the dvi-i converter in
the first few times installation. But at the last try, I've removed all
unnecessary assasories like display card (used the on-board display only),
other HD etc and only left the basic required components. Same result - I
couldn't install and stuck at the last stage.

I had that problem with RC1/5600 with serval drives in the machine, it
seemed try to boot from the wring hard drive after correctly booting
though the install process..Try disconnecting all drives except the
boot drive, reformat and reinstall. That worked for me. Also
consider if the final video driver is setting an unusable refresh
rate.
