RC1 install failure

well, reburnt the dvd and verfied the data alll good,
initial install ok on partitioned hardrive (worked perfectly with beta 2)
then blue screen - reboots and says cannot complete installation? unknown
error occured? tried 5 times now..

any suggestions :::: before i give up and do some real work:::
im losing the will to live trying to install this::::::
 
in the BIOS turn off any not needed devices including serial/parallel ports, USB , hard drives.
try again.

Thanks for the advice, but its a RC1 plus i havent got much to turn off
anyhows my system is set up for audio only, beta 2 worked fine... its a
fine mess this RC1 ..
im heading for the apple i think...
 
sorry that did not work, if you tried it.
I even have problems with which program I use to FORMAT the target install disk.
