In case there are people who may be wondering when/if the DVD's are in the
mail, I just received my RC1 DVD's (both 32 and 64 bit) in the mail today...
so they're on the way.

Received mine today too.

I did an install on an older machine (P4 1.7GHz + 768MB Rambus + Intel
Garibaldi 850 Mobo) and it finished a clean full install in under 30
minutes. The earlier Beta (5384) took the better part of an hour on the same
machine two months back.

Avast would not install - said some driver was incompatible - but AVG is up
and running fine and fast right now.

Cheers.

What version of Avast? The latest from their website?

I had the exact OPPOSITE results - using the latest of both, Avast is
running fine, AVG had drivers blocked - compatibility issue
Interesting.......................

Avast runs fine on my computer. Are you using the latest version of
Avast designed to run on 5600 and 5728?

In less than 25 days Vista RTMS but y ou have for all practical purposes
nearly the same thing as the RTM in your hand now. It's RTMing as a Beta 1
OS in reality.

"It's RTMing as a Beta 1 OS in reality".
How do you conclude this considering there was a Beta 2, RC1 and
RC1-modified released?.

(I think another release should be provided to CPP (via download only), but
that's another story).
