RBA

At Start up getting "RBA encountered a problem and needs
to close". Any clue how to correct? Thx

It's something related to Compaq Advisor (Rules Based Agent RBA). Disabling
the application from startup should do the trick. Click Start | Run |
MSConfig | Startup. (Compaq-rba.exe or rba.exe)

Did what you said but couldn't find anything related to
RBA. Could also just be me since I'm probably over my
head.

Can you post the list of programs in MSConfig Startup tab? Might be Compaq
Advisor program

Looks like you were right on the money. It's an RBA.exe
file but there doesn't seem to be a disable feature. Best
I can determine it is Compaq Advisor. Both (RBA and
Advisor)are manufactured by Neoplanet. Any clue what
happens if I disable advisor? Appreciate your help.

Compaq Advisor, as the name implies is a context based help assistant which
gives tips based on the task you perform. This is completely optional.
