Everyday I get hundreds of emails of "RAV Antivirus Scan Results."
Some of the emails it tells me it has deleated dangerous code. How can I
remedy this? I am also getting many emails from Microsoft about a critical
download which I did but still those emails keep coming as well. Please
help. Thank you.

I hope you didn't get the download from the email. That email was not from
MS. It may have contained a virus.

If attachments are not an integral part of your professional life, please
block email with attachments to prevent seeing more of these emails.

Instal an anti virus app, with current deffinitions, and perhaps consider a
third party Spam addin

It was from an email attactchment supposedly from microsoft.

Yes, I know. That's what I said. It was *supposedly* from
Microsoft, but not actually from Microsoft. They made it like
like it was to fool you into running the attachment. You are
almost certainly now infected.

It could be that your ISP is notifying you that it has deleted a dangerous
attachment from your e-mail.

You should take this up with them to get a conclusive answer.

Consider that these mails may be a scam intended to get you to buy a
product. There are certainly a lot of such ads pop up on the web:
purporting to have made measurements showing how badly your system is
running when they have done no such thing

There are good and free AV packages around, eg AVG6 from www.grisoft.com
I am also getting many emails from Microsoft about a critical
download which I did but still those emails keep coming as well.

Those are hitting everyone, and it is not from MS; who *never* send
things out as e-mail attachments, but a nasty malicious hoax, trying to
get you to install the virus attached

Hey Alex,
I think he may have the swen virus.
The OP said "a critical download {which I did} but still those emails keep
coming".
I think he means he installed the "patch" that was attached to the phony
Microsoft e-mail.
If so, that would also explain the RAV warnings. His computer is e-mailing
the virus out to other people and thier antivirus software is warning him
that the mail he sent is infected.
What do you think?
