I made a cd for my mom just before Christmas using Veritis RecordNow. It
worked great but now it won't even read a cd.When I put in a cd the computer
does not notice it at all. I have tried updating the driver and uninstalling
and reinstalling the driver but nothing works. At the cmos menu my mother
board sees it and the device manager says there is no problem with the
device. My mom just bought this computer. It is an HP 725n with Windows XP
home edition and service pack 1 included. I use Windows Update on a regular
basis and am completly up to date. I also have Norton Antivirus with latest
definitions and a ZoneAlarm Firewall. I am open too ideas...Do I need a
Priest to cast out the demons in my system or a hammer?:)
