Starting about 3 days ago, am getting hundreds of these
two errors in my Windows 2000 (SP4) System Log:

The Remote Access Connection Manager service terminated
with the following error:

Trouble started the other night. Here is sequence of
events:
1) Installed Rainbow Six 3 (game from UbiSoft)
2) Game kept locking up my system and forced me to reboot
machine w/ reset button (happened 4-5 times)
3) Upgraded my nVidia video card drivers; this seemed to
fix crashing problem w/ game
4) Played game a few hours and then tried normal Windows
Shut Down sequence. Computer would not shut down on its
own. Finally, after waiting 5 mins, crossed my fingers and
hit Power button to turn off manually.
5) Next morning tried to boot PC and got blue screen
w/ "Unaccessible Boot Device" message.
6) Tried CHKDSK and ScanDisk - no errors were found.
7) Ran Fixboot and restarted computer; it worked!
Now, however, I am getting errors in a few programs that
used to work fine before all this started. So this is why
I went into my System Log to see what was going on.
Any help with what may be causing these two errors would
be greatly appreciated!! Thanks.
p.s. if it helps, am also getting this error in my
Application Log; this started right about same time as the
other two errors:

Event ID: 2001
