I am confused. I want to be able to access my WIN2K
Server at work from home via DSL to run programs from home
such as Wuickbooks.

1) what do I setup on the WIN2K Server? RAS, VPN, OR
Terminal Server?

Please point me in the right direction. Any articles or
documenation will help.

Thanks,

Mike

I'm confused. I don't want to ADMINISTER my server I want
to run programs from home that reside on my workstations
at work.

What is the difference between RAS, VPN, and Terminal
Services?

Terminal Server allows you to connect to your server and access the desktop
as if you were sitting at the console. Terminal Services in Remote
Administration Mode allows you to make two such connection as an
Administrator without any additonal licensing requirements. RAS or RRAS
allows you to configure your server as a Remote Access Server. This allows
you to turn the server into a Router, a NAT router and/or a VPN Server,
etc. If you configure your server as a VPN Server, you can configure your
remote computer as a VPN client and connect to your VPN Server. This
effectively makes the remote client a local client on the LAN at work where
you can have access to shares, etc. In addition, XP allows you to make a
single Remote Desktop connection using the Remote Desktop client.
