I have been running a win2000 RRAS server for a month now.
User dials in via modem and server calls them back. The
server has a BRI card(ISDN). I recently applied SP4, and
ever since applying it, the events logged in the system
log state:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: RemoteAccess
Event Category: None
Event ID: 20048
Date: 2003/08/20
Time: 11:41:01
User: N/A
Computer: servername
Description:
The user domain\username connected on port ISDN6-0 on
08/20/2003 at 11:04am and disconnected on 08/20/2003 at
11:41am. The user was active for 35 minutes 7 seconds. 0
bytes were sent and 0 bytes were received. The port speed
was 41296. The reason for disconnecting was user request.

1. The problem I have is the section "0 bytes were sent
and 0 bytes were received." I sent a few meg each way, but
it still shows 0 bytes transmitted. Before loading sp4, i
received the info in the event log. If the remote user is
connected, and I disconnect the user on the server side
(via ras manager) then the statistics (bytes sent and
received) are shown in the event log.
If i go into the RAS manager - ports, and monitor the isdn
port, it shows all the statistics. There are no crc errors
or any other errors for that matter.
2. Ever since installing the SP4, the transfers seem to
take much longer, eventhough the connection speed is the
same.

There are no errors in the event log
Any help will be much appreciated

Hi Seanl,

I have the same problem. When I check my logs appears 0 bytes and is very strange because the peoble was doing something when he is connect. And I have a question. What´s the meanning of "Error Count" in the logs?

Many thanks,
Alex.
