RAS error 619

Geoff C.

Hello,

I have been having a major issue with my Windows XP
(Home) PC that I just purchased. I have purchased a new
Dell machine that came pre-loaded with AOL software on
it. Now my issue is that I can connect with the AOL
software but not with my ISP. I can connect once
successfully for approx 1 hour after I install a new
dialer in DUN for my ISP and then I get error 619 and 721
respectively until I re-install the dialer and TCP stack
again which will allow me to connect only once it seems.

I have connected and disconnected on my own shut down the
PC and came back 20 minutes later and error 619 and 721
come back. I have tried all the suggestions on the
MIcrosoft site (update modem driver's, update windows to
latest version of patches, used init string's to force
lower protocols and slower speeds.) Nothing seems to
work, I don't want to have to use the AOL software as it
drives me batty. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PC Setup -
Windows XP Home (fully updated)
No firewall software installed
All Windows firewall options turned off
USR external courrier modem 56K connected via serial
NEW P4 machine with 256MB of RAM.
