Hi group,

I'm having an issue with a remote dial-in user that I'm hoping you can help.
Here's the scenario:

The user has a Dell Latitude C600 with a built-in 3Com V.90 modem/NIC combo
PCI. Using the modem, he connects to my LAN via a Shiva LAN Rover E/Plus. I
have both the laptop and the and RAS are set to 115kp/s , but not matter what
the connection is always set at 28kp/s. Is there anything else that I need to
check to see where the connection is being limited? Thanks in advance.

Modem-to-modem connections will work at no more than 33.6kbps maximum unless
you purchase a special digital modem at the call-answering end. The modem
in your Shiva is not such a modem.

Sorry, no; I'm not in the market for such. Since you have a Shiva device
you might want to check with them.
