RAS Configuration Question

I have set up a w2k client with "incoming connections". I am dialing in and
authenticating without issue. At this point I am trying to use pcAnywhere to
access a couple of windows NT4 workstations and am not having any luck. I can
pcAnywhere into the PC I'm dialed into without issue, its the NT boxes that are
giving me issue. All PCs are in the same subnet and sequentially IP'd.
Appologies for the ignorance on this but it is not a typical challenge for me.
Must I specify static IP addresses to connect to an PC other than the one I'm
dialed into? Thanks.

Can you ping the target machines by IP? Name resolution can be tricky
across a dialup link because it doesn't carry broadcasts.

If you are not running WINS on the LAN, you may need an LMHOSTS file on
the remote client to find the LAN machines by name.

Hi Bill,

Yes I can ping the IP. Additionally, WINS is not being used, which will lead me
to your suggestion of an LMHOSTS file. Thanks for your suggestion.
