I have a Windows 2000 Server SP4 that all of a sudden started becoming slow
and unresponsive to client's share access and logon requests randomly (once
a month or every 2-3 weeks). If I reboot the server it's fine until the next
time.
I suspected the problem to be a leak in lsass.exe. So I ran the performance
counters Process\Private & Virtual Bytes for lsass process, but couldn't
find anything.
I also downloaded & ran the MS UMDH utility to check for memory leaks in
LSass process, but couldn't find anything.
Any ideas? (besides re-installing OS!)
TIA
