Random shutdowns

For some reason my self built system is randomly shutting it self off. After
it shuts it self down, I can't restart it unless I pull the power plug and
insert it back in. Sort of resetting it I guess.
Could this be a power supply error? Or may it be a driver issue? I haven't
done anything new to the system so it is not any new changes I made to the
system.
Any ideas?

TIA!

Hi,

Sounds like an overheating issue. Check fans and ventilation.

Why would the system refuse to even start to post when I hit the power
button after a shutdown then? Is it some safety feature of the mobo?
I left it off for the night, and no shutdowns yet. Been about 10 min.

Hi,

Probably a mobo trigger, until it resets, the system will not power on.

Thanks. That's something to file away until I need it.
In any case (heh, case) your advice seems to be working, got the dust
vacuumed away from the intake and blower fans, the side panel is off and the
system has been up all day, no shutdowns.
MANY thanks!
