Random Shutdowns

My desktop continues to unexpectedly shut down. It does
it at all different times and I can no longer use the cd
burner because of this problem. Sometimes it restarts on
its own and other times I have to turn off the power and
restart it myself. Please help with advise that is not
too technical. Thanks.

I understand that this can be caused by outdated or
corrupted drivers so one possibility is going to the
website of the manufacturer of your CD burner and seeing if
they have an updated driver.
