I had just recently purchased a new computer and i was soo happy, i built it and the seccond that it was finished i plugged everything in and started it up. It froze during the bio's, i took the memory out and put it in the seccond slot and rebooted it now it works. I installed all of the drivers and rebooted like it said to do and when it was all installed i told myself that it was time for all of the hard work to pay of. On went the games, in the middle of the install my computer restarted. I was shocked, i checked all of the hardwar, made sure that it was all in right and started it up again. it capt doing this.

Please help my life depends on you,

is it only rebooting during installing the game or all of the time ? if its all the time check your heatsink is seated properly on the CPU

I agree, restarting restarting could definatley be your processor over heating, but I'm going to suggest reinstalling the operating system. If if just turned off, dead XP then id say definatley processor, restarting is commonly a software issue, sorry :/

Well, it restarts anytime not just during an install of a game. The CPU is seated right and the fan for it is working right too. That was the first thing that i checked. I have replaced the cmoss and the mother board and the hard drive. I have rolled the computer back and uninstalled the driver then reinstalled them. I haven't yet redid the hard drive, i didn't want to do that unless that was compleatly needed.

you know what. Download Pc doctor and run that, run the entire program it will check each individual pice of hardware and let you know whats wrong. If its hardware is should/may (no guarantees) find the problem. The again -- is the voltage and everything right on your system, do you need to connect the AUX power bus??

welcome friend, also if we help resolve the problem, reply and let us know, that way we know what it was what worked and also no one wastes times posting to a resloved issue.

the issue is resolved and thank you to all that helped me! The problem was a mix of a bad power supply and i forgot to plug in the other power plug into my motherboard. It took two power plugs to power the board. Thanks again>
