Hi,i have a Sound Blaster Live in my computer. I have it
updated to Windows XP, but every 4 hours aprox. a BSOD
appears in my screen.
The message from the BSOD says:
IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL 0x0000000a (0x4569e845,
0x00000002, 0x00000001, 0x805f5554).

These are the Microsoft drivers who are involved in it:
D:\windows\system32\drivers
aec.sys
cdaudio.sys
dmusic.sys
drmkaud.sys
kmixer.sys
sfloppy.sys
splitter.sys
swmidi.sys
usbprint.sys

I think there are some incompatibilities between
microsoft audio drivers and Creative ones (emu10k1f).
I wish you could help me with this trouble.

Thank you.

I have a Sound blaster 5.1 sound card.
Go to Microsoft Update. The site has an update to
download. I did it today, but have not yet tried it out.
It should work fine.

Good Luck,
Joe

Unlikely. But if it's a Creative PCI sound card you're
talking about, you might disable the AC97 audio and any
onboard sound chips in your BIOS and deinstall the drivers
for them.

Could be a memory problem though. To check,
download memtest86 from http://www.memtest86.com/
and run it for a few passes. You should get zero errors.

Could be heat. Check your CPU and case temps. Open
up you case and make sure all the fans are working. If it's
been a while, it might be a good time to dust out the insides
of your computer (but *do not* use a vacuum cleaner, which
could cause static discharge).

Hello again. I checked my memory with memtest 86 and all
was ok. Cpu and case temps are acceptable. Only the first
option remains.

But today I have suffered another reboot and the message
from the blue screen was different. Perhaps it will give
you another clue:
0x000000d1 (0xc8a29b3d, 0x00000002, 0x00000001,
0x81baf0ab).

And using the dumpchk command i have watched another
detail. Near the unloaded modules (kmixer.sys,
drmkaud.sys, dmusic.sys, swmidi.sys, aec.sys,
splitter.sys, cdaudio.sys, sfloppy.sys) appears:
Timestamp: unavailable (00000000).

What does it mean?

Thanks again.
