Hello, this is a bizarre problem. When a reply is sent to an email a
series of random letters appear at the end of the email. There seems to
be no set pattern but it is a bit worrying that one day they might
spell out something offensive to the recipient! I have checked to see
whether it is a corrupt signature, but this is not the case. Its
running on XP, Outlook 2002 with SP3. Thanks.

Is this series of letters the same every time or does it change with each
message? Are you using Word or the built-in Outlook editor to compose mail?

Hi Brian, the letters are totally random. Sometimes they seem to be
from the subject line, sometimes not. They usually come in 3 characters
but sometimes 1 or 2 characters. The Outlook editor is used to compose
the mails. Thanks.

I'm afraid I can't think of that might be causing this. Perhaps someone
else will.
