Random irritating & contradictory popup

The following keeps popping up on a random basis : It makes no sense to me: if an application change has been allowed, why is MSAS blocking the Shell Doc Object ? And what does shdocvw.dll do anyway ?
 
It's not blocking the Shell Doc Object. Is allowing it to be changed. That file is a library file used by Windows apps to add basic file & networking operations.

I agree that the popup is contradictory.

If something like this appears at seemingly random times, either there's a
bug (not impossible!) or something going on that you'd want to get to the
bottom of. Since I don't see this kind of popup, although I've heard of it
here before, my bias is towards wanting to get to the bottom of it--i.e.
strange as the wording is, I don't think this is an outright bug, and it'd
be good to know what is triggering it.

Do I take it that you've done at least a full deep scan in normal startup
mode and believe that your machine is free of spyware?

A number of pieces of spyware and some worms or viruses seem to do things
with this file.

Yes I have done a full scan both with MSAS and Lavasoft's Ad-aware. The
funny thing is that the notification pops up only at logon and that too not
every time.
