random file scanning counter MAS

Hello,

can some of the MS developers explain the following

using build 614 defs 5725

running quickscan

results on my machine 38340 files scanned

running full scan 19030 files scanned

using build 614 defs 5729

running quickscan

results on my machine 22377 files scanned

running full scan 19168 files scanned

my question - is the counting mechanism crippled in
build 614.

First you must be on 5729 and thats a challenge...............

What you see in help about is not true.

How to update, workaround

Right click on MSAS icon within systray and choose shutdown.

Right click and "Save target as..."

Copy/paste these files to Program files/Microsoft Antispyware

Restart MSAS and "check for updates"

Scan again and see result.


Done until MS realise that this is a bug..............

Hi

MSAS "rocks" but have some problem.

Version 614 and defs 5729 outclasses all other
antispyware programs I am sure about.

If have updated the MAS the way you described
and now i'am on defs 5731

the following scanning results

counts FULLSCAN QUICKSCAN
Processes 2433 68
Files 19209 22242
registry keys 9509 9509


with a scheduled scan you get another results then the
above mentioned. Check it by yourself. Its like a random
generator.
 
You do NOT must be on 5729 !!!
This problem has been going on for levels current and back
for a long time.
Maybe by Beta 999 something useable and worthwhile will be
thunk up ?
