about once daily, especially when loading an internet page, my computer's
screen will go black with vertical and horizontal lines of the predominant
color the screen had just been displaying. The computer at this point will
not respond to any mouse or keyboard command. Since the tower does not have a
reset button, I am forced to reset the power strip that the computer is
plugged into, which I fear may be doing damage to my hardware.
The computer runs windows XP Home, and the problem started about a week
after I reinstalled windows to unclutter the hard drive.
I am simply wondering how I may fix this problem, and whether the issue is
hardware, software, or connection related.
