I have been using my PC for several months and it randomly crashes. It always
will crash when watching a movie, sometimes when playing music (but not that
often) and usually once a day when on the internet.

I am running SP2 and have updated all bios and drivers, but with no success.

The system is AMD Athlon XP 2400+ 2.00Ghz, with Nvidea GeForce4 MX
integrated GPU

Overheating?
memory?
Tried shutting down any background apps, first?
You installed drivers from manu site, NOT winupdate?
Try memtest86 to test your memory

Hi

Is the crash a complete freeze, shutdown or restart? Have a look in the
Event Viewer for any 'Errors'. If any are found, could you please post the
Event ID and Source?

Hi,

I experience the same problem. Especially when I am on the Internet. The
crash is a restart of my computer. How can I start this Event Viewer?

Rob van den Akker.

Hi

If you don't see any error messages when the restart occurs, right click on
My Computer, select
Properties and then the Advanced tab. Click on Settings under Startup and
Recovery and disable 'Automatically restart'. Next time your PC reboots,
you should see a Blue Screen. Could you please post the Stop Code from the
BSOD?

You can access the Event Viewer by typing the following from Start>Run

eventvwr.msc

and then expanding the icons in the left hand column.

may be able to help you. what was the last thing you did on your pc before
it started crashing?
