Random Crashes

Every 3rd day or so on my win2k machine the computer just
randomly reboots. I have run virus software and everything
is clear. I have no error messages or stop messages being
reported to me, and no explantion on reboot. i have 25GB
free space on my HD and 256MB DDR memory. I also have a
NVidia GeForce 2 graphics card and just upgraded the
drivers via windowsupdate.com to the latest release. I
have notice that when i try and play project IGI (3d
intensive game) the restart happens with in 2 minutes of
starting. but any other time it's random wether im
watching video, listening to audio, or cpu is absolutley
idle. My cpu fan just went out so i run it open case and
in a 68 degree room till the new fan comes (temp maybe
casuing restarts...?) any suggestions please help

Run one of the win based temp monitors like MBM.
Or at least, when it reboots, go into the BIOS and see what the temps are like.
I would Not run 3D games with no cpu fan. I'm suprised you get 2 minutes
into the game.
BTW, what cpu?
