Random blue screens

Someone let me know if I'm in the wrong group. We have
many Dell laptops (Lattitude 810 or better) that are
starting to blue screen while docked. Undocked I don't
know of a case. This started happening within the last
month or so, so we're suspecting a Windows update, but
can't put a finger on which one. A reboot after the blue
screen prompts us to send a report for analysis, but it
just says that a "device driver" caused the problem. It
never specifically says which one it is. The blue screen
may go days before they happen or it could happen 4 or 5
times in a day. There's no pattern. Has anyone else had
this problem? Thanks.

Hi

Can you post the Stop Code(s) that accompany the BSOD(s)? Someone may then be able to help you. The Stop Code(s) may help to isolate the problem.

Laptop computers run best when the latest hardware drivers
are installed. Visit the Dell support website, download and
install the latest Windows XP compatible drivers, and any BIOS
update, for your specific model of laptop.

Hey, thanks for the response. The following is the Stop
code:

Stop: 0000008E (0xC0000005, 0x805AC9E5, 0xF9987D20,
0x00000000)

Most of the machines are at SP1 for xp and have most if
not all of the updates. Again, it only happens when they
are docked. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
