Greetings,

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

The Antivirus program installed and ran once, finding a virus HOLAR.G which
was deleted.

When the Antivirus was again ran, a sequence of dialog boxes appears showing
an attempted install from "Dataview.msi"

I tried uninstalling Antivirus, however, the reinstallation shows the same
events: the install program apparently cannot find a file called
dataview.msi The program apparently searches the following subdirectory
(which actually does not exist):

C:\DOCUME~1\rjf\LOCALS~1\Temp\_is311\

a browse-option dialog box appears, and asks for the location of the file. I
searched, and the file does not exist on C: nor any of my other logical hard
dives.

Please advise.

Thank you.
Best regards, rjf

Here's a download link to a Microsoft tool which will help you fix this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;290301

This is the Windows Installer Cleanup tool.
Install it, and run it.

Look for an entry which might relate to the "dataview.MSI" file or the
location you are seeing.

If you can spot such an entry, remove it.

Try Microsoft Antispyware again.

If that has been successful, you can probably uninstall the cleanup tool--it
shouldn't be needed in any routine way.
