Just wondering if anyone here can help out with this:

My girlfriend's mother wants me to upgrade her RAM in her HP. Naturally
it'd be an easy job if it was DDR RAM. No such luck. She has 128 MB of
RDRAM!!! ech!

She wants to upgrade RAM so she can run WinXP instead of WinME <=
(double ech!)

I know RDRAM is "installed in pairs". So does that mean to upgrade to
256 MB, she needs to buy TWO sticks of 128, ONE stick of 256 plus a CRIMM,
or TWO sticks of 256??

Anyone know whats what?

Not necessarily. If her computer has the i820 chipset or the VC820
mainboard, the modules don't need to be in pairs. Also, if that's the case,
the chip density, if you go by the spec, can't exceed 128Mb (or
144Mb for ECC). Please post further info.
