Whenever I launch internet I get a mess age reading;

"An image on the upcoming window could not be displayed
correctly due to low memory. For best results, try
closing unused windows"

I have no other windows open and this message comes up
repeatedly every time I click on something.

How can I solve this?

So...how much RAM do you have? How about your hard drive's free space?
What do you have your Temporary Internet Files cache set at?

What are we, mind readers?

Hard drive space = 12.42 GB
RAM (according to help and support) = Unknown
Temp Internet Files Cache = 595 MB

Total Physical Memory = 247.48 MB

247.48 cannot be right. Your RAM must be an even multiple of 32. If you
don't even know how much RAM you have installed, how can you expect anyone
to help you?
Does your motherboard have shared video memory? If so, you apparently have
256 MB of Ram with 8MB shared to the onboard video. 64MB is the recommended
minimum video memory these days. You need to upgrade your video to a card
that has AT LEAST 64 BM on it.

Only for games or serious multimedia work.

8 mb of video RAM is fully adequate for business applications and
general web surfing unless you are using a monitor resolution higher
than 1600 x 1200.
