Hi,
All ram chips have a speed to them. 66mhz 100mhz 133mhz
and ddr has a doubler function. I would think that you
have a 133mhz p3. But I don't know for sure as you didn't
say...But regardless, if you have a 133 and have 100mhz
ram it will work. If you have a 100 mhz and 133 mhz ram
then it WONT work. Look on the corner of the strip and see
if it says 100 or 133. You also could possibly have a
100/133 bus in which case if the ram is 133 and the bus is
100 then a jumper could let you cahnge the bus speed. You
will have to look in the book for your system to see if
that is applicable.

Win2K can easily handle 256 Mb of RAM, assuming your motherboard
can do so. However, it's absolutely essential that any new RAM
module(s) be fully compatible with both the motherboard and any other
RAM module(s) already in the system. Additionally, there are
sometimes jumper switches on older motherboards that need to be reset
for the new RAM configuration. Consult your PC/motherboard's manual
for specifics.

By all means, put 'em both in. If it works, cool, it'll work MUCH
better. If it don't work, then take one of 'em out and you'll be
no worse off.

While you're at it, if the 2 RAM cards don't work together, check each
alone in the machine. If both are good, you just have a timing mismatch
or a similarly subtle mismatch, and perhaps you can trade one good card
for another that does match the one you keep. A small neighborhood
computer fixit shop might be willing to do this for you.
