I just setup a A7n8x board with crucial 3200 ram and a 2500xp (333)
processor. The board is ver 2. Can anyone tell me why i cant run the ram
at 200fsb? In order for the board to work, i have to set the ram at
166fsb. Is this processor locked? that would explain why i cant run the
ram at 200, because at 166 the multiplier is at 11.5 which would equal
1.809. I tried to set the ram at 200 and lower the multiplier to 9. At
this setting the computer wont boot, and i have to pull the cmos battery
and set the ram at 166.

Any help would be great

AFAIK ram can only go to a 1:1 ratio, I dont think you can speed your
ram beyond that, and being that your Processor uses a 333FSB
166Mhz/333DDR is the proper speed for your memory.

Just like slower memory lags the CPU, speeds above 1:1 would mean the
Memory is waiting for data from the CPU, and its unbalanced.

leave the multiplier alone set the Ram to 200..set mem to 100%..disable
spread spectrum..up the v-core to 1.7v..Cpu performance to Optimal...try
that setting...if you changed just the multiplier and you don't boot the
chip is locked

If it's a new XP2500, it is very likely that the multiplier is locked. It
will be locked at 11x not 11.5x

A Barton 25oo is clocked at 1833Mhz = 166FSB x 11. The RAM setting should be
set at 100%. Have you tried slack timings? What BIOS version?

Unfortunately, there is no guarantee that this combo will hit 200FSB.
