It is unusual to get a message in the system tray that reports low RAM. Do
you have a system monitor program running?

Bobby... Thanku for the info very much appreciated
Liz :-)

Harry... it comes up a yellow triangle and bubble with
the message in, next to the clock.it says very low
on "random access memory" but it has also said "very low
on memory"... it also says it will free up some space and
that i might not be able to use some things ,I don't know
if i have a system monitor program running as i have'nt
got a clue... i'll get more memory and hopefully that
will be problem solved... until something else goes
wrong, lol.

That is a very unusual message, and it is not one that is normally
produced by Windows.

I suspect that it is being produced by some sort of memory monitoring
utility that you may have mistakenly installed on your computer. Do
any of the following names mean anything to you?
- Cacheman, RAMbooster, MemTurbo, FreeMemPro?

If they do then you should uninstall whichever of these has infested
your computer. All of them are fundamentally incapable of providing
any beneficial result for any computer under any circumstances.

Good luck
