There is no issue to resolve. As a general rule, you should not have *any*
(or no more than a little) available RAM. Available RAM is wasted RAM. You
paid for all of it and shouldn't want to see any of it wasted. Windows works
hard to keep all your RAM working for you all the time, for example using it
for cache if your apps don't need it, then taking it back again if your apps
need it later. This is *good*, not bad.

plz
| someone help. What do you mean by 'System Information'?

In 'System Properties' in the 'Control Panel', the 'General' tab shows the
amount of installed memory detected; not 'available RAM'.

'Windows Task Manager', in the 'Performance' tab shows 'available' under
'Physical Memory'.

You did not give enough information to tell whether you have a problem or
not.

* How did you get the information that available RAM is 21 MBytes?
* How much RAM is installed?
* What is running on your system when you get this information?
* Is the amount of 'available RAM' always the same?
* Do you have any symptoms in your system performance that may indicate too
little memory to operate without excessive use of the page file?
* And, by the way, how large is your page file?

Likely you have somehow gotten a reading of how much RAM is unused, a
different thing than 'available RAM'. Windows XP tends to use all available
memory for caching transfers from data drives. If more space is needed for
resident program modules, the cache will automatically give up space. Also,
program modules can be executed directly from the cache. This method of
operation is a good thing.
