Hi All.

I have a Intel 865 PERL Board I had 512 MB DDR 266 of Mem running in
dual channel mode I upgraded to 1 gig of mem, I thought I got another 2
sticks of DDR266 it turns out they are DDR333 my question is...Do all
the
sticks have to be 266?? both dual channel configs are matched...2x256
DDR 266 and 2x256 DDR 333.. So Does it matter that the mem is not
matched...I am running a 2.4 celeron. Bios says it is running in dual
channel...here is the mem arrangment

Channel A
0-DDR 266
1-DDR 333

Channel B
0-DDR 266
1-DDR 333

Thanks,

Kevin

the word 'bottleneck' comes to mind.

the pc will only run as fast as the slowest component, in this case,
providing cpu, fsb etc isnt the bottleneck, then the ddr266 will stop the
ddr333 from running full wack.
