RAM Prices

Hey,

Have RAM prices gone up across the board recently? I was looking at 1Gb RAM for my laptop about 2 months ago and it was £70 from crucial, now the same stuff is almost £100. Just wondered if this was a temporary thing or not.

Seems it has gone up in price - within the last week.

Last week the average price of 2Gb of medium quality RAM (like Crucial standard or Corsair XMS) was around £135/£140.

Now it's costing £145/£155, about a tenner increase on average.

Darn it. Oh well, im in no desperate hurry, i'll just wait til they come back down.

Yeah there is a big shortage from most major manufacturers - both ddr and ddr2

It's likely to go on for the rest of this quarter, so I would imagine they will go back to normal come october time.
