RAM needed but freeware prog ??

Any advice where i can get a free p[rog that will release some RAM from me
crappy computer..i only had 64mb to start with, and its all gone...it's not
worth buying any RAM, till i get another comp in 3 months.....any tips are
appreciated, guys...thanks, and all the best....FRED

With only 64Mb there is none to release, you will have to wait.
 
You might try cacheman (http://www.outertech.com); it was contributionware
when I first got it although by now it might be (horrors of horrors)
shareware now. regards, He2

Open a new txt file with notepad, put the following in:

FreeMem=Space(20000000)

save this file as freemem.vbs
Now you have made you're own vbs-script which tries to free 20 Mb of RAM.
Just doubleclick the file to run it. I found this in an old usenet-post a
while ago, and it works great on win98SE.
