Before i start, I would like to ask if you can help me,
can you email me, or contact me on MSn messenger? Because
i find it hard to find my posts on here.
(e-mail address removed) Thanks

Ok, here goes. I updated from Pentium II to III. And I
wanted to add more ram, which I did. THen I tried to add
more because there were a few slots left, the computer
was still really slow. well when I put more in, the
system didn't like it, and it said that it couldn't run
with that ammount of RAM. Well, I can live with that.
Well, now if I try to play a computer game, the game will
load really slow, or the game will be choppy. Anytime I
press CTRL+ALT+DEL and I look at all the processes that
are running, I find a list of at least 30 processes that
are running. No wonder the games run slow and all my
other progrmas load slow. I have no money to buy a new
computer, and I was wondering, its there any way to maybe
download a program to speed up my computer (i already
have PCbooster) or is there any way I can get rid of some
NON-esential processes that might make my computer run
faster? Also, is there anything else I can change, or do
to make it run faster. I am doing good on hard drive
space (I don't think that has anything to do with it) and
I have run SpyWare removal and it still runs slow. PLEASE
HELP!

I have:
WINDOWS XP
c:/ 37.2 GB
D:/ 5.99 GB
F:/ 55.9 GB (External hard drive)
996 MHz
384 MB of RAM
Comcast Cable Internet

Thanks and I hope you can help!

Brendan

Brendan, here's a great site for info. Look into Services you can disable
or put on manual. Leave the processes alone.
Defrag your hard drive and make sure your graphic drivers are updated.
